BOVINE COLLAGEN EXPLAINED

Collagen Is a natural protein that provides our bodies with structural support, a fibrous elastic, connective tissue in our bodies that holds us together, 25% of the dry protein weight of our body is collagen and 75% of our skin is collagen, providing its resiliency and shape. It’s part of the natural make-up of our tendons ligaments, joints, muscles, hair, skin, etc. Fibres of collagen are woven together like threads in  fabric to form a framework into which new cells can grow. As we age, our body’s production of collagen slows down. On the outside, we see our skin wrinkle, on the inside we experience this as the weakening of our skeletal structure due to the breakdown of connective and muscle tissue.


How Much Should You Take?
To start your cartilage rebuilding, quite a large intake is needed. The bovine collagen should be re-hydrated in a fluid you find pleasant to drink. Warm drinks like a cup of tea or coffee are fine, especially if you take them with milk and sugar. For the first week you will need 3 teaspoons of bovine collagen per day, one with each meal. For week two you can drop to 2 doses of 1 teaspoon per meal (breakfast and lunch), the week three is 1 teaspoon per day with breakfast until you feel well enough to stop. If the pain returns or mobility decreases, revert to the highest dose (3 teaspoons per day) for 3 days, then reduce the dose as per directions
